Let’s Go! combines myriad approaches in order to create a meaningful and lasting impact. The initiative is rooted in the belief that learning and curiosity about STEM subjects and the world should be nurtured at a young age. As such, the project elements attempt to introduce students to the basics of engineering through the Let’s Go Learning curriculum, which offers 6 modules on foundational principles in civil engineering, sustainable materials, and basic circuitry. The will also include the Let’s Go Imagining DIY Book, which will feature low-cost projects that use everyday materials to introduce students to practical engineering and design. These activity books will be used in the Let’s Get Creative Workshops, a series of online sessions which will walk children through the projects and provide them with guidance in real time. Children who have completed the Let’s Go Learning Curriculum and the Let’s Go Imagining DIY Book will also go through the Let’s Go Genius Certification program, a STEM certification recognising their work.
The initiative will also lead a fundraising campaign to finance the purchase and donation of the Let’s Get Hands On Kit, a curated collection of LEGO bricks, circuit components, and sustainable building materials. These will allow the hands-on experimentation outlined in the DIY Activity Book.
